Every dog matures differently. With decades of training and behavior experience behind the program, we carefully monitor each puppy or dog’s learning, confidence, and comprehension before sending them home.

Some dogs may need a little more time to fully understand and perform the skills being taught. When that happens, we may keep a puppy or dog a few extra days to make sure they are ready — with no additional fee for that extra time.

Whether you are looking for a strong foundation, public manners, or advanced service-dog preparation, we help shape the path around your dog’s age, maturity, temperament, and your goals.

AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy Certification PLUS

$2,800 Training only

    Professional training, AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certification, crate training, potty-training foundations, bell-ringing to go outside, public socialization, fetching, and comfort with baths and grooming.

  • You Receive
    Weekly updates and videos, a go-home video, training vest or harness and leash, clicker, place mat, treat dispenser, door bells, certification test video, and a two-hour lesson with a qualified instructor.

    Families who want a strong early foundation before bringing their puppy home.

    This specialized program helps prepare the dog and handler team to navigate public spaces together. Eligibility requires a letter from a medical provider confirming that the handler would benefit from a highly trained service dog.

  • You Receive
    Weekly updates and videos, a go-home video, training vest or harness and leash, clicker, place mat, treat dispenser, door bells, testing videos, and five sessions with a qualified trainer.

  • Best For
    Handlers preparing for a highly trained service-dog path with public-access expectations.

How do I know which training program is right for me?
The right program depends on what you want your dog prepared for. AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy PLUS is best for early puppy foundations. AKC Canine Good Citizen PLUS is a stronger fit for public manners and everyday reliability. Full Access Preparation is designed for advanced service-dog preparation and public-access readiness.
Will my dog always go home at the exact estimated age?
Not always. Every dog matures differently. If a puppy or dog needs a little more time to fully understand and perform the skills being taught, Goldadors of York may keep them a few extra days to help ensure they are ready, with no additional fee for those extra days.
What is required for Full Access Preparation?
Full Access Preparation is intended for service-dog public-access readiness. A letter from a medical provider is required to confirm that the handler would benefit from a highly trained service dog. For the best transition, team training with Goldadors is recommended. If that is not possible, the handler must secure a local, qualified canine coach.
